The U.S. Highway 14 Partnership met Wednesday to review the 2016 legislative session. President of the Partnership and New Ulm Mayor Bob Beussman says the Partnership remains united in its goal to expand U.S. Highway 14 to four lanes from New Ulm to Rochester. Those surveys will be out in the next week or two. Unfortunately, following three months of failed negotiations, Governor Mark Dayton announced Thursday there will be no special session to address the bonding bill for public construction projects. The sticking point is funding for the Southwest Light Rail Line project.
