Transportation funding got added to the bonding bill during negotiations yesterday. The bill included about $200 million for Corridors of Commerce. Several projects were listed as eligible for Corridors of Commerce funding, including U.S. Highway 14. However, the Legislature was unable to pass the bonding bill before last night’s deadline.
It is crucial that our members contact Gov. Dayton immediately and ask him to call a special session on bonding.
Here is the message:
- Thank him for past support for Highway 14.
- Ask him to keep the funding for Corridors of Commerce in the bonding bill.
- Tell him it is important to continue momentum for the Highway 14 project and ask him to ensure that the designation for Highway 14 remains in the bill.
